MECHANICAL ENGINEER

BCCK Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join its Midland staff. The Mechanical Engineer will work closely with Project Managers, other engineering staff, design coordinator and designers and will be responsible for process equipment specification, evaluation, and selection, P&ID development, coordination of equipment deliveries to coincide with overall project schedule and design/construction schedules, plant startup assistance, and client, field and plant operator interface. This individual will perform work that involves conventional and acceptable engineering practices, but may also include a variety of complex features such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of standard materials and difficult coordination requirements. Strong preference will be given to individuals who have experience in cryogenically-based gas processing, refinery or chemical facilities, and project management. Pipe stress analysis experience and a strong knowledge of rotating equipment (pumps, compressors) is a plus.

Requirements

B.S. in Chemical Engineering from an accredited US university

  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited US university
  • Experience in the design and implementation of equipment used in gas gathering and gas processing
  • Working knowledge of ASME codes
  • A broad knowledge of precedents and procedures in mechanical engineering and a good knowledge of principles and practices of related specialties
  • Experience in the oil and gas processing, refining, or chemical industries desired
  • Strong verbal, written, computer and organizational skills
  • Ability to cope with fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment
  • Ability to travel
  • Must be eligible to work in the US
